Do I need to install anything? No — the fastest path is connecting a cloud AI (Claude Web, Claude Desktop, or the ChatGPT app) as an MCP connector: no install, no console. Installing Claude Code (or running the local Console) unlocks more — local file edits in your Control Room and the in-browser Terminal — but it's optional.
Which AI should I use? Any of them — Memeri is model-agnostic. Claude Code gets the richest integration (auto-grounding hooks, local telemetry). Claude Web / Desktop, ChatGPT, Codex, and Cursor all connect via MCP and share the same project memory.
Do my agents run on Memeri's servers? No. Your AI runs under your own account (Anthropic / OpenAI), on your machine or in your AI app. Memeri stores your project memory and structured work, and shows you what your agents are doing.
Where did my chats from another computer go? The in-browser Terminal shows agents running on this machine's Console. Your project memory, jobs, and decisions are shared across devices, but a live terminal process lives on the machine it started on.
Why don't I see my chats when I switch projects? The Terminal Home is scoped to the active project. Running agents always show; history and saved workspaces are filtered to the selected project. Use "Show all projects" to see everything. (See The Terminal.)
Is it free? See the pricing on the marketing site. You always pay your own AI provider separately — Memeri never sits between you and Anthropic / OpenAI billing.
Something isn't connecting. See Troubleshooting — something's not working and Telemetry — Troubleshooting.
